− | The OpenScape Desk Phone CP400 and | + | The OpenScape Desk Phone CP400, CP600 and CP700 were equipped with a new user interface. It translates the innovative concept of conversations into the world of telephony. The distributed concept of contact and call logs are merged into a single list of conversations. A conversation consists of contact information and up to three journal entries. The contact data can be automatically supplied from external sources, such as [[LDAP]], MS Exchange or UC when connected to OpenScape Business. <br /> |

The amount of conversations depends on the OpenScape System and UC Application. − | The new OpenScape Desk Phone | + | The new OpenScape Desk Phone CP400m CP600 and CP700 are a bridge to Unified Communications. In operation without UC the User Interfaces uses the consistent design language and eases the change, or the expansion of existing communications infrastructure toward the trendsetting UC eco system. The phones remain part of the system. The build-in UC connector synchronizes the call log and the contacts into a conversation list and integrates the phone into presence and preferred device. This protects the customer's investment and makes the phones future-proof for the new way of communication. |

New user interface
The OpenScape Desk Phone CP400, CP600 and CP700 were equipped with a new user interface. It translates the innovative concept of conversations into the world of telephony. The distributed concept of contact and call logs are merged into a single list of conversations. A conversation consists of contact information and up to three journal entries. The contact data can be automatically supplied from external sources, such as LDAP, MS Exchange or UC when connected to OpenScape Business.
The new, higher-performance, hardware architecture allows the holding of up to 1000 conversations with 3 journal entries. The amount of conversations depends on the OpenScape System and UC Application. The new search functionality gives easy access to conversations and automatically integrates external sources like LDAP.
The most commonly used telephony functions are accessible by a single keystroke. The new soft key concept is the main difference to the well-known OpenStage concept.
The integration of LDAP is seamless. The integrated search function accesses both, the local list of conversations, as well as LDAP information and presents the results within one search result.
Incoming or dialed numbers not part of the conversation list are automatically supplied with LDAP and(or UC information, like name and picture clip/avatar if available.
The new OpenScape Desk Phone CP400m CP600 and CP700 are a bridge to Unified Communications.

OpenScape Desk Phone CP700X with Key Modul
|
The CP700/700X is designed for the porfessional workplace. The consistently paperless design is particularly suitable for mobile workers or environments.
With six permanently visible free programmable keys the device is optimized for team or multi line usage. Additionally six Favourites allows the user to program important numbers and functions.
Up to two (CP700) or four (CP700X) connectable key modules with 12 buttons each satisfies the need of many free programmable keys.
The high resolution display of Key Modules shows the key label and additional information like status and action icons. The key module is highly recommended for multiline usage. It provides interactive line information as well as status information using the display and the three color key LED.
The CP700 is equipped with a new Bluetooth 5.0 function. Bluetooth headset are supported in HD audio quality.
The new ‘Bluetooth Proximity’ feature allows to automatically lock the phone when the headset or other Bluetooth device is removed from the phone range. The built-in NFC chip simplifies the Bluetooth pairing with compatible Smartphones. The phone can operate as free speaking unit for smartphones.

IEEE802.1ab (LLDP-MED)
Essential parameters of the protocol:
Note: LLDP-MED should only be used with LLDP enabled network access switches. Old network access switches that don not adhere to the 802.1D-1998 MAC bridging specification might appear to be propagating the LLDP multicasts through the subnet. In this case LLDP-MED should be deactivated on the phone prior to installation. LLDP-MED is supported for the phone LAN port only and does not apply to the PC port. |

Executive/Assistant Cockpit (SIP)
E/A Cockpit Overview |
This sub-page describes the E/A Cockpit application, which is a solution for Executive/Assistant groups. It is based on the well known "Executive/Assistent" of the OpenScape 4000. The E/A Cockpit is implemented as an application hosted at the OpenScape UC Application Server using the "Send URL" Function of the OpenScape Desk Phone CP400/600/700. Together with OpenScape Voice DSS function keys a rich user interface is created for any Executive/Assistant combination. This application applies for SIP only.
