Software versioning / naming
A new software versioning scheme was introduced, it requires that a new versioning name should be adopted for each software product.
Software product version will be now identified with the string:
V x[.y] R m.f.h
in which field:
- x[.y] denotes the Major release level
- m denotes the Minor release level
- f denotes the Fix release level
- h denotes the Hotfix level

- The existing local phone book can be substituted with an XML application
- The SIP retry after parameter (RFC 3261) is supported
- For better supporting survivability features of the HiPath 8000, also FQDN will be supported in SIP messages and routed correctly by the network - The Busy Lamp Feature (BLF) for monitoring extension states is implemented according to the Asterisk implementation - The keypad (1-9,*0#) can be used for direct input into XML application - The following countries were added: Turkey - The following languages were added: Indonesian, Malay, Brazilian Portuguese, Catalan, Estonian, American English, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Slovenian, Serbian, Greek, Bulgarian (Cyrillic), Macedonian (Cyrillic), Serbian (Cyrillic), Japanese (on OpenStage 20, 20E and 40 only) - Support for LLDP-MED is introduced - It is possible to start a configured XML application via FPK - Some MWI enhancements (RFC-3842 and RFC-3265) were introduced - The OpenStage Manager can upload and delete ringer tones to the phone - The new FPK settings, introduced with V1R5, are supported by OpenStage Manager - The name HiPath 8000 was replaced by OS Voice in the SIP server type menu (Admin->System->Registration->Sip session->Server type - The default setting for LLDP-MED is now “ON”. As a result, the VLAN discovery method default is now “LLDP_MED discovered”. - from V1R5.x on the user has to manually configure the device type which is connected to the headset port (via the "Settings --> User --> Audio --> Settings --> Headset socket"). It is important to set the parameter correctly to achieve the best voice quality. DECT Headsets have to be set to "Cordless headset", while the Wired headsets have to be set to "Wired headset". The third setting "Conference unit" is prepared to connect a conference unit from Konftel in the future (this will be released separately as soon as an appropriate cable is available from Konftel). Bluethooth headsets are not affected by this configuration parameter
