myPortal for Desktop

myPortal for Desktop is a Java based client for accessing the unified communication functions of OpenScape Office from a Desktop PC. Diffenrent skins are available to meet customer requiremnts regarding look and feel and handling. myPortal for desktop SW is part of OpenScape Office SW and bound to OpenScape Office SW version.

Besides convenient dialing aids via phone directories and favorites and information on the presence status of other subscribers, myPortal for desktop can, for example, also be used to access voicemails and faxes.

Configuration Overview
XPhone Entry is a 1st party CTI Client. It is TAPI based and therefore only usable in combination with Mircosoft Operating systems. The connection to the underlying Siemens HiPath PXB is done by a TAPI Service Provider. The HiPath TAPI service providers connect either a termnal or directly to a systeminterface.

XPhone Entry CTI may only be installed the following countries:

Max number of installations per HiPath System
The CTI client software XPhone Entry does not require a license and can be used freely by the customer within the scope of the specified maximum values for other components. This depends on one hand on the HiPath plattform and on the other hand on the used TAPI service provider.
Connection to optiPoint via Callbridge Collection
For HiPath 500, 2000, and 3000
The maximum number of installations is limited only by the number of optiPoint telephones available. The required cables (USB/LAN) must be bought.
Connection with HiPath TAPI 120
HiPath 3000 via LIM
The maximum number of usable CTI clients using the LIM module is six. From the 7th client onwards connection to the HiPath 3000 is only possible via the HG 1500 board.
HiPath 3000 via HG 1500
The maximum number of usable CTI clients using the HG 1500 module is limited only by the BHCA values of the system. If the maximum number of six clients on TAPI 120 is exceeded, the CMD must be deployed with appropriate licenses. In this case a TAPI 120 license is needed for all CTI clients used.
HiPath 2000
The maximum number of usable CTI clients is limited only by the BHCA values of the system. If the maximum number of six clients on TAPI 120 is exceeded, the CMD must be deployed with appropriate licenses. In this case a TAPI 120 license is needed for all CTI clients used.
Connection with HiPath TAPI 170
HiPath 3000 via HG 1500
The maximum number of usable CTI clients using the HG 1500 module is limited only by the BHCA values of the system. However, a HiPath TAPI 170 license is needed for each CTI client.
HiPath 2000
The maximum number of usable CTI clients is limited only by the BHCA values of the system. However, a HiPath TAPI 170 license is needed for each CTI client.
CTI for HiPath BizIP
All BizIP 410 e and BizIP 410 a phones can be used with the first party TAPI driver. It supports basic outgoing and incoming calls.

Software Delivery
XPhone Entry is shipped only on CD in a bundle with a HiPath Platform .
All software components for successful operation can be found on the the CD as there are:

The TAPI service provider of HiPath 1100, 1200 and BizIP can be installed from the approriate system CD.
Licensing
The XPhone Entry CTI client software does not require a license and may be used by the customer on any newly acquired systems within the scope of the general technical conditions.
Please note that the used TAPI service providers may require a license
License upgrade
XPhone Entry can be upgraded to XPhone Standard by entering a licenses key for XPhone Standard without reinstallation of SW.
A 30 days trial period of the XPhone Standard featureset can be directly activated out of XPhone Entry. After this period the SW switches back to XPhone Entry features. This trial period can only be activated one time.
For every PC, which is upgraded a dedicated XPhone Standard license key is required.

Use of telephone convenience functions
Which particular CTI convenience functions are available to you depends on the configuration of the telephone system and the TAPI service provider in use.
