HELLO,
THIS WHOLE CONCEPT DOES NOT WORK! JUST KEEP BUGGING SIEMENS VIA TELEPHONE! THIS WIKI IS NOT ABOUT COMMUNICATION IT'S ABOUT RUNNING AGAINST SILENT WALLS! BEST! SOPHIA
Hello Sophia,
what's wrong with that ? this Wiki is not a Forum but a Wiki...otherwise its name should be "forum". Do you see the word "forum" around ? Said that...I read your previous question about Gigaset M2 Professional and System Time on analog telephone line and, IMHO, you can't rely on that because, as far as I know, no clock (time, as you said) will be passed from the telephone provider to the user: to have a reliable source for you phones or your phone system (as example for Siemens HiPath 3000) you should fall on the ISDN BRI type of line, with ISDN the system will receive a clock that could use or it can use its internal clock source of the ISDN source is not continuous.
Analog terminals (Cordless like, as example, your Gigaset M2 Professional or corded, like, as example Siemens Euroset), generally speaking, don't rely on any system clock provided by any telephone provider...you should move to digital or to an enterprise-like Cordless system in which your Gigaset M2 terminals register to the cordless subsystem and consequently will receive the system clock plus other protocol informations.
On my personal page (click below) you can find my mail address if you need other technical informations.
