Overview

A dedicated Server hardware is required to host the HiPath Cordless IP Server appliance software in order to deploy a larger HiPath Cordless IP system (with an increased number of installed DECT IP Base Stations and/or an increased number of registered Gigaset/OpenStage S/SL Professional DECT phones).

The features and requirements of HiPath Cordless IP (e.g. network requirements) are not changed even if the HiPath Cordless IP Server runs on a dedicated Server hardware.

The Server's Operating System used with HiPath Cordless IP is based on a Linux distribution for embedded device: OpenWrt.

The Operating System forms part of the Software delivery CD-ROM (the HiPath Cordless IP Server): The Operating System came preconfigured for the usage with the below mentioned Fujitsu PRIMERGY hardware Server (e.g. all the required driver are already compiled into the Operation System).

Main advantage with this approach is the quick and easy installation process of the entire HiPath Cordless IP Server software once the specified hardware Server is used.

Currently a Fujitsu RX100S8 server with special BIOS settings is required as the server for the HiPath Cordless IP Server SW. The Fujitsu server can be ordered in the same way as all other HiPath Cordless IP components.

If you change the Motherboard of the Fujitsu Server please consider to apply the correct BIOS configuration. In that case contact product management
