It’s more than just a phone

Working with frog design, a world renowned industry leader in product design, UNIFY has created a line of beautiful devices that people like to use. The result is a simplified user interface with relevant features combined with the unique opportunities Circuit integration provides.

The new OpenScape CP Family of phones bring feature evolution and updated capabilities such as:

  • Enterprise desk top voice now adds collaboration integration
  • Bluetooth connectivity is complemented by near field communication (NFC) that simplifies free seating by using your smartphone as a login passport
  • High end audio quality equally meets a stylish, fresh, bold device design

The OpenScape Desk Phone CP family is upholding the success story of optiPoint and OpenStage. It takes over the heritage of the very good acoustic features from the OpenStage phone family. Based on that heritage the new family has the same outstanding compatibility to the OpenScape Voice solution. The huge network and security experience was also taken over to the new family.

The new OpenScape Desk Phone CP family is enhanced by a lot of awesome features:

  • Mechanical hook switch, robust and with clear feedback
  • Concave keys shape with a clear pressure point
  • Two-color LEDs in the function keys to display statuses
  • Keys with backlight even visible in bright surroundings
  • Tidy key layout with clear function division
  • Built-in stand with 4 different angles (flat and steep)
  • Easy cable management
  • Key module with new display technology, connector without cable
  • Headset connection in all models
  • Higher performance, lower boot times
  • Completely new User Interface
  • Energy efficient hardware design

Phone range

For most of the customers and many scenarios, the desk phone is still the preferred device for voice conversations. These users want enterprise grade communication with cost effective choices.

But today’s customers, who see value in desk phones, want them to participate differently. They want to make the most of voice communication in the new way to work and where appropriate, have them play a more active role in the digital workplace.

Model Overview

By thoughtfully focusing on primary features, we’ve condensed the new phone family into a concentrated portfolio. It’s an easier to manage, cost effective set of devices with user focused features.

  • OpenScape Desk Phone CP200: Entry level for standard user
  • OpenScape Desk Phone CP400: Midrange phone with larger display and many programmable keys
  • OpenScape Desk Phone CP600: Knowledge worker focus with many interoperability needs for those who want context-sensitive guiding in the display, while using a phone

Yes
IEEE802.1ab (LLDP-MED)

Essential parameters of the protocol:

  • Send and receive VLAN ID (no need to configure the vendor specific DHCP option 43 / DLS does not need to run in the Default LAN)
  • Send and receive Quality of Service parameter (QoS) for RTP (Media)
  • Power consumption (Power Class) – allows a more precise configuration of the power requirements than the classification according to IEEE802.3af.

Note: LLDP-MED should only be used with LLDP enabled network access switches. Old network access switches that don not adhere to the 802.1D-1998 MAC bridging specification might appear to be propagating the LLDP multicasts through the subnet. In this case LLDP-MED should be deactivated on the phone prior to installation. LLDP-MED is supported for the phone LAN port only and does not apply to the PC port.

Yes
DNS (Host-) name for the device Yes
IEEE802.1Q (VLAN tagging and prioritization)
