USB is a user friendly I/O-interface for connecting devices with USB ports.
An USB connection consists of a shielded cable and two unequal plugs: One for the master (A-type) and one for the slave port (B-type).
On phones USB master ports are used to connect additional devices like USB keyboard or USB memory stick. USB slave ports are used to establish a connection to a PC to use First Party CTI.
Phones providing USB ports:
- OpenStage 60, OpenStage 80 (master)
- OpenStage 40 T (slave)
- OpenStage 60 T, OpenStage 80 T (master and slave)
- optiPoint 410 advance S, optiPoint 420 advance S (master)
- optiPoint 500 basic, optiPoint 500 standard, optiPoint 500 advance (slave)
- optiPoint 600 office (master and slave)
A distinction is made between:
- USB 1.1 (transfer rate 12 mbit/sec)
- USB 2.0 (transfer rate 480 mbit/sec)
USB 2.0 devices are backward compatible (with slower transfer rate) with USB 1.1 devices.

USB ist eine anwenderfreundliche I/O-Schnittstelle zum Verbinden von Geräten mit USB-Anschluss.
Eine USB-Verbindung besteht aus einem geschirmten Kabel und zwei ungleichen Steckern: Einer für den Master- (Typ A) und einen für den Slave-Port (Typ B).
An Telefonen werden USB-Master Ports zum Anschließen von Zusatzgeräten wie USB-Tastatur oder USB-Stick verwendet. USB-Slave Ports werden verwendet, um eine Verbindung zu einem PC herzustellen und damit CTI (First Party) zu nutzen.
