The OpenScape DECT Phone SL5 is the slimmest and smallest DECT handset in the portfolio; it satisfies the most stringent requirements in terms of high end functionality and design and suits perfectly to various jobs.

From the high-quality handset with silver front side, to the large 2.4” TFT color display with modern user interface, this handset looks exquisite. It offers the largest display in the handset-portfolio; approx. 33% larger display size compared to the 1,8” previous display. The large display is ideal for easy readability by almost identically housing dimensions.

As well as great style, it offers optimum functionality, with excellent voice quality, Bluetooth Interface and a 2.5mm headset jack. The OpenScape DECT Phone SL5 is the successor of OpenStage SL4 professional.

Based on DECT-/GAP-/PN-CAP- standards, it implements the requirements of professional telephone users and makes them available to the HiPath-/OpenScape- Cordless systems.

Comparison to the predecessor Gigaset S4 professional

The following provides an overview of the new features provided with the OpenScape DECT Phone SL5

• Functionality
  • Display: large display (2,4”) for easy readability, meant ~33% larger display by almost identically housing dimensions in comparison to the OpenStage SL4 professional
  • Audio: 3 Acoustic profiles to change quickly between different environmental conditions (profile loud, silent and personal)
  • Received Call List: local List for missed and received calls (optional)
  • Audio: adjustment of the microphone/sending level up to 4 steps, to provide an enhanced acoustics in noisy environments
  • Signal: optional acoustic signal when user leaves/enters the DECT covered area
  • Automatically Keypad lock: switches off/on automatically when receiving calls
  • Bluetooth: (if supported by the headset) transfer of the caller id (e.g. clip info) in the headset via Bluetooth
  • Ringer: optional off, when handset is located in charger
• User Interface
  • Keys: Larger keys for easier usage
  • Quick dial: telephone book entries could be assigned to the two soft keys for quick dialing
  • Answering machine: programming/accessing of AM via key “1”
  • Housing: surface optimized to resist against aggressive substances

Tests at predecessor releases of the systems were not carried out. The use of the handset in earlier system-versions should be possible, but functional restrictions could not be absolutely excluded.
