Explanation
Phase-out means, that a device, software or other product is no longer in focus of marketing or is no longer manufactured. The phase out process is planned and announced in time to allow customers to prepare for the successor product or other modifications. This planning normally comprises the following steps / milestones: Order Stop for the Phase-Out Product
- End of Central Training - no training (leasons or online trainings) will be available beyond this date
- End of Software Support - no trouble analysis or provisioning of fault corrections will be available beyond this date
- Order Stop Customer Documentation - no printed documentation will be available beyond this date
- End of Product Activities - all activities stopped
The phase-out process is also referred as end of life process.
