The optiPoint 150 S is a SIP phone with an optimum price/performance ratio.
The optiPoint 150 S has been released in May 2006. For the enterprise area it is a device for starters but it is also perfect for home users connected to SIP providers (like for example sipgate or others) operating standard SIP platforms like Asterisk or other standard SIP platforms. The phone supports a set of basic telephony features IE capability like Call Transfer, Call Forwarding, Message Waiting Indication and others. The optiPoint 150 S offers among other things an inserted phone directory (100 entries), to call list administration and is simple to administer via a Webbrowser. For larger deployments there is a mechanism available for automatic distribution of configuration files (mass deployment) in order to avoid to configure each phone on-site.
Das seit Mai 2006 erhältliche Telefon ist im Geschäftsumfeld für HiPath-Plattformen ein Gerät der Einsteigerklasse, kann aber auch von Anwendern im Heimbereich, an SIP-Plattformen wie Asterisk oder SIP-Service-Providern (z. B. sipgate u.a.) eingesetzt werden.
Es unterstützt eine Reihe von grundlegenden Telefonie-Leistungsmerkmalen wie Call Transfer, Call Forwarding, Message Waiting Indication und weitere. Das Telefon bietet u. a. ein eingebautes Telefonbuch (100 Einträge), Ruflistenverwaltung und ist per Webbrowser einfach zu administrieren.
Für größere Deployments steht ein Mechanismus zur Verfügung, Konfigurationsdateien automatisch zentral zu verteilen, siehe Massen-Deployment. Eine Einzeleinrichtung der Telefone ist dann nicht notwendig (Plug&Call).

Das optiPoint 150 S kann über 3 Wege administriert werden:
1. lokal am Telefon
2. per Web-Browser --> Web Based Management
3. Paramater- und SW Verteilung automatisiert per TFTP-Server
Gerade in größeren Roll-out Szenarien sind Varianten 1 und 2 nicht geeignet.
