Starting with Zoom Phone

The OpenScape Desk Phone CP G2 family is certified with Zoom Phone. The supported list of features is available here. All phones can be connected out of the box. Otherwise, the phone must be loaded with standard SIP software before the initial connection to Zoom is done, if HFA software is installed. Future software updates are provided by Zoom phone. The phones automatically adopt the user interface and feature support when connected to Zoom phone. Please ensure that the firewall rules are setup accordingly to the Firewall Rules for Mitel IP Phones. This port must be reachable by any CP phone so that Zero Touch Provisioning works properly.

Installation and Maintenance Support

The CPx10 line supports Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) as well as assistant provisioning. ZTP means that only the serial number (MAC address) of the phone must be provided to Zoom Phone during the phone setup. A CPx10 with preinstalled SIP SW and factory defaults will automatically be connected to Zoom Phone. SW deployment and configuration of the phone will be done by Zoom server. No administration interaction is needed on customer site.

In case of ZTP is not working, Zoom Phone is providing a short description how to configure manually the phone to Zoom Phone using the assisted provisioning process.

The phone is fully configured and administrated by Zoom Phone. Firmware updates are automatically distributed. Custom provisioning templates are supported so that the tenant Admin can customize the installation and configuration per tenant.

Location information can be submitted by the phone, if the network supports the nomadic emergency service.
