VoIP = Voice over IP
Explanation
VoIP (or IP Telephony, Internet Telephony, DSL Telephony) is a often used term for the technology that use the Internet Protocol to exchange voice and other communication services. So far this services mainly have been carried over the public switched telephone network (PSTN).
Erläuterung
VoIP (oder IP-Telefonie, Internet-Telefonie, DSL-Telefonie) ist ein häufig gebrauchter Begriff für IP-basierte Technologie zum Austausch von Sprache und anderen Kommunikations-Diensten. Bislang wurden diese Dienste hauptsächlich über das PSTN übermittelt.
