V3 R0.x.0
General information
What’s New?
Area | Summary |
---|---|
Network | OpenStage SIP V3 supports IPv4 and IPv6 operation based on a dual stack implementation. This also allows dual IP operation (IPv4 and IPv6 in parallel). OpenStage offers ANAT for IPv4 / IPv6 inter working. |
Network / Audio | For better supporting specific configurations (e.g. networks with long latency) OpenStage phones can be configured to 60ms paket size now. |
Network / Security | The network authentication feature IEEE802.1x is now also supporting PEAP (Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol ) as an authentication method (in addition to EAP-TLS). |
Security | A number of security enhancements have been introduced in various areas:
|
Serviceability | A number of traces will be enabled per default now - this reduces time needed to obtain some initial trace information in case a problem has occurred.
The default size for trace files has been increased as well. |
Serviceability | Diagnosis data can be read locally or remotely by admin and - if configured- by user, reducing time and effort for trouble shooting. |
SIP support | For server type "Asterisk" OpenStage does support functional call back now (CCBS/CCNR). |
Interfaces / Bluetooth | A subset of the Bluetooth Hands Free Profile (HFP) has been added, providing more functionality in addition to the already existing Headset profile (HSP) and supporting compatibility with newer BT headsets. |
User Interface | As a configurable option OpenStage phone can play DTMF tones received out-band which is useful in some cases / some configurations (e.g. when connecting to the PSTN via gateways). |
User Interface | Setting the call forwarding is a lot easier now, e.g. entering ad-hoc forwarding destinations and checking / setting forwarding types. |
User Interface | Users like contact center agents that auto-answer calls via AICS/ZIP tone feature are gaining efficiency - terminated consultation calls automatically reconnect held calls now. |
